The Moving Wall

In a profound tribute to the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War, Serenity Funeral Home is proud to announce that "The Moving Wall", a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Monument in Washington D.C., will be displayed on our premises from October 12th through October 16th, 2023.  This meticulously crafted replica provides an intimate and emotional connection to the names of over 58,000 men and women who lost their lives during the war.

Opening Ceremony: Thursday, October 12th at 6:00 pm

To mark the arrival of "The Moving Wall," Serenity Funeral Home invites everyone in Mobile and surrounding counties to join us for an Opening Ceremony on Thursday, October 12th, at 6:00 pm. This ceremony will feature guest speaker Col. Patrick Downing, patriotic music, military memorabilia of the period, and an opportunity for attendees to reflect on the significance of this powerful memorial.

The display will be located on the grounds of Serenity Funeral Home at 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL  36582.  We look forward to welcoming you to the Opening Ceremony on Thursday, October 12th, at 6:00 pm, and we invite you to visit "The Moving Wall" during its stay through Noon, October 16th. Together, let us remember, honor, and express our heartfelt gratitude to the servicemen and servicewomen who served during this pivotal chapter in our nation's history.
