Sye Jack Daniel Justice

Sye Jack Daniel Justice, age 28, a resident of Mobile, Alabama and Clayton, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Born to Bruce Justice and Darlene Byers Pope in Mobile, Alabama on February 7, 1994, Sye was a loving son and brother, and a doting father to his 3 young children. He was preceded in death by his younger sister, Brooke Nichole Pope, of Mobile; both of his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Esther Byers, of Mobile/Chester, Pennsylvania; and his paternal grandfather, Alfred Justice of Arlington, Virginia. He is survived by his three beautiful children, Anastasia Nicole Kadel Justice, Orian Jack Daniel Justice, and Thalia Renee Justice, all of Mobile; mother and her partner, Darlene Byers Pope and Mark Wells of Mobile; father, Bruce (Donna) Justice of Clayton, Delaware; older sister and her fiancé, Tara Justice and James Capehart of Marlton, New Jersey; paternal grandmother, Susan (Allen) Harrison of Arlington, Virginia/Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. All will miss him dearly. Splitting his younger years between Alabama and Delaware gave Sye an opportunity to experience the best of the South, as well as enjoy the treasures of the East Coast. Sye was a lover of all things outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Fishing and crabbing were some of his favorite activities to share with his mother on the shores of the Alabama coast. As a child and teenager he enjoyed long, lazy days on the beach and trips to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, as well as camping and hiking in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and exploring the sights and culture of Washington, DC. Sye and his father always enjoyed boating and fishing together, and spent countless hours on the water at Leisure Point, their second home in the summer months. As an older teen and young man, Sye could most often be found floundering with his Uncle Mike or hunting with his best friend, Cameron. He found his niche in life as an iron worker, where he excelled and enjoyed his trade. Many will remember Sye for his sense of humor, and his ability to bring a smile to your face. He was a lover of animals and had many pets during his life, but his childhood dog, Jesse, was his favorite by far - they are now joined together in heaven to explore and adventure for eternity. Sye’s greatest accomplishments and proudest moments of his life were the births of his 3 children. He was a father who cared deeply, loved hard, and spoke his mind. Sye will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the faces of his children and in the hearts of all who loved him. Funeral Services will be held privately with the family at a later date in both Alabama and Delaware.
