Anthony Cosentino Jr.

Anthony Cosentino Jr., 84, of Grand Bay, AL, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Born on July 31, 1941, in Queens County, NY, to Anthony and Shirley Cosentino, Tony built a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and loving God and his family. He will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious smile, and charm. His long-time passion for helping others and his healthy lifestyle were sources of great joy. Tony could often be found spending time with his family, running, bicycling, tending to his tomato bushes, and cheering on Alabama football “ROLL TIDE!” even when he was surrounded by the Auburn fans in the family. Tony dedicated the first part of his career to serving his country in the Air Force for 4 years as an instructor where he was known for his attention to details. Tony worked in communications and was great at troubleshooting problems. He worked for 14 years at Ingalls shipyard and then moved on to work for companies like Raytheon where he serviced sonar systems in naval submarines. Tony concluded the last 25+ years of his work history owning and operating several Auntie Anne’s pretzel franchises. His overall positive attitude toward life, resilience when things got tough, and the ability to humbly recognize failure and then responsibly come up with a solution is a testament to the life he lived and the impact he had on those around him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Lynn Cosentino, and his children Gaye (Rob) Johnson, Tony (Cheri) Cosentino, Gina (Joe) Peters, Trey Cosentino, Crystal (Scott) Morgan, and Joseph Cosentino; his grandchildren Glenn, Jackie, Jessy “Bug”, A.J., Kyla, Amber, Zach, and Julia; and his brother Joseph P. Cosentino. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Shirley Cosentino. A service to celebrate Tony Cosentino‘s life will be held on October 17, 2025, with Family at 10-11, Visitation at 11-12, followed by Funeral Service at 12. Fellowship and food that afternoon at mom’s house. Visitation and service at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36582.
