Alice Fay Thompson

Alice Fay (Young) Thompson was born August 28, 1945, in Mobile Alabama to Lovie Ethridge Young and James Odom Young. She was a graduate of Murphy High School then attended Business College where she achieved a CPA. She loved her family greatly. Her brothers Henry, Francis, Allen, Johnny, and Buford, all awaited her in heaven as well as her husband Melvin Thompson. She was a light to her family, whom she was so proud of. She is survived by her beloved children, William Bryan Thompson (Misty Thompson), Laurie (Thompson) Bryant (Timothy Paul Bryant), Amanda Thompson, Walker Thompson, and Hunter Thompson; as well as her grandchildren, Jordan Bryant, Gunner Bryant (Tessa Bryant), Destiny Bryant, Sawyer Bryant, Quinlan Thompson, Emeylee (Bryant) Santiago (Jorge Santiago), Elizabeth Moore, Casey Thompson, Tristan Bryant, Trinity Bryant, Tyrah Thompson, Saphira Bryant, Jayce Bryant, Ryleigh Bryant, William Bryant, Charlotte Thompson, and Logan Bryant. She has seven great grandchildren, Rhemington, Caitlynn, Maverik, Colt, Adonis, Sweet Sariyah, and Gigi's precious Baby Isaac. They brought her such happiness. She was so kind and good to others. She was a devout Christian and we know that Jesus was waiting to welcome her Home. She will be missed beyond measure. She was so adventurous, giving her family wonderful memories of time spent with her. She could make anything fun and devoted her life to helping others. She was a foster parent for 19 years, she volunteered regularly in her daughter's classroom, and helped with the Christmas play every year. She loved the holidays and decorating, she wanted everything to be beautiful. She was happy to invite anyone who needed a place to be during the holidays to her parties. She did not want us to judge or hate but trust in the Lord and love our neighbors. She would want everyone who reads this to be blessed and have a spirit of peace. She was loved dearly and will be missed more than words can express. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36582, from 10:00 am until the 12'oclock Graveside Service time. All family and friends attending the Graveside Service are requested to meet at the funeral home by 11:40 am to line up for the procession to Serenity Memorial Gardens for the Graveside Service. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
