Michael Rhinehardt Corry

January 18, 1945 - May 28, 2022

Michael Rhinehart Corry, age 77, of Mobile, Alabama, affectionately known by close friends and family members as Mickey, passed away on the evening of May 28, 2022, after a very painful and lengthy illness. Michael was born on January 18, 1945, to Robert Emmett Corry and Rachel Schreiner Corry. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved daughter, Katherine Corry Culberson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Sandra Shaw Corry; son, Michael Rhinehart Corry, Jr. (Amy); grandson, Michael Rhinehart Corry, III; granddaughter, Julia Elise Corry; brother, Robert Emmett Corry, Jr. (Anne); two sisters, Sandra Corry Smith (Jeff) and Debra Corry Guyton (Patrick); numerous nieces and nephews; his big cat, Elvis; little pup, Laney; other relatives, and friends. Michael attended the University of Alabama, and after transferring to the University of South Alabama (USA), earned a Bachelor of Science degree, from where he was the founder and first president of the Sigma Chi chapter. Michael worked in marine and industrial sales in his early career and later as a realtor. He had faith in God, and that faith only grew stronger in his final years of life. Michael was a lover of food, music, and history. Michael will be remembered by those who loved him as a brave warrior who suffered much.
