Lorita M. Reeves

April 13, 1944 - January 7, 2022

Lorita M. Reeves, a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, born April 13, 1944, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 77. Lorita was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, and friend to many. She loved Jesus deeply and shared the love of Christ with everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Lorita was an encourager at heart. You always knew that she genuinely loved and cared for you and that she was sincerely praying for you. She lived a full, Spirit-filled, life and was loved, fiercely, by her husband, Charles, her daughter, Sheila, her entire family, and a host of friends. Weakened by illness, tired, and broken, she was called home away from her suffering, to rest in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Now, in a new body, free from the burden of pain and filled with peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she is rejoicing with her son, Charles, Jr., her sister, Lois, her mother, Eunice, and many other family members and friends who passed before her. She will always be an inspiration to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed until we are reunited with her in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Lorita would want everyone to know and share her experience of the joy, peace, and salvation that only comes from a relationship with the one true God through the redeeming mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. Lorita is preceded in death by her son, Charles Reeves, Jr.; mother, Eunice Barfield; sister, Lois Berg; and son-in-law, Servet Ercizer. Lorita is survived by her husband, Charles A. Reeves; daughter, Sheila Ercizer; grandson, Cody Ercizer; three generations of nieces and nephews; other relatives, and many friends. A visitation for Lorita will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Lorita will be laid to rest in Serenity Memorial Gardens, 8851 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36582.
