Joseph Richard Tillman

January 4, 1932 - January 26, 2022

Joseph Richard Tillman, age 90, passed away January 26, 2022 in Grand Bay, AL. A visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Home from 12:30–2:30 PM with a chapel service to follow at 2:30 PM. Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Chimes in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Mr. Tillman was a hard-working family man. He worked as market manager for Wayne Lee Grocery and later owned and operated Grand Bay Packing Company before working offshore for Exxon. He loved cooking, fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, watching football, baseball, car racing, and boxing. Earlier in life, he loved riding Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Tillman. Mr. Tillman is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edna Louise Allgood Tillman; sons, Richard Ladell Tillman (Caren) and Joseph Lavell Tillman; daughters, Angelia Diane Tillman and Shelia Louise Tillman; grandchildren, Danille Corlett Williams (Jason) and Natashia Nicole Taylor; great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kobe, London, Zahra, Lakeland, Quenton, Ansley, Jaggar, and Hannah; other relatives, and friends.
