Emile Curt Seitz

May 28, 1940 - January 15, 2022

Emile “Curt” Seitz, age 81, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Curt was born and raised in Mobile, AL by his parents, the late Albert and Josephine Northcutt Seitz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwen; and his brothers, Donald Wainwright, Johnny Anderson, Buddy Seitz, and Charlie Seitz. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (David) Myrick, Wendy Cole, and Kim (Ron) Diegan; grandchildren, Jonathan (Morgan) Myrick, Steven (Lauren) Myrick, Allan Irving, Kaila Irving, Erica Cole (Jared), Timothy Cole, Ronnie Diegan, Kassidy (Brett) Boutwell, and Kenlie Diegan; great-grandchildren, Thompson Myrick, Talon Myrick, Gatlyn Myrick, Annsley Irving, Julianna Kidder, Cameron Martin, Kyle Martin, and Maddox Boutwell; siblings, Marie (Jim) Marchetti and George Seitz; sister-in-law, Faye Seitz; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Curt was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to so many. To know him was to love him, and he made the world a better place just by being him. He loved real country music and playing his steel guitar with his friends and kindred musicians. Children and animals were his soft spot, and he would do anything to keep all of them safe from harm. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 12-2 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by service at 2 PM, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd., Theodore, AL 36582. Internment will take place at Serenity Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that to continue his love for children and animals, that you make a donation in his honor to the Alabama Baptist Childrens’ Home or an animal rescue foundation of your choice.
