Winifred Pendarvis Housdan

Winifred Estelle Pendarvis Housdan passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in the presence of her loved ones. Winifred was born and raised in Mobile, AL where she graduated from Alma Bryant High School, and later attended Charles Academy School of Cosmetology. This led her into entrepreneurship and ownership of her own beauty salon formerly known as "Shear Delight". Winifred, also known as Wendy, was an avid volunteer in her community. Her passions included gardening, especially with her mother, and Fishing and crabbing at Dauphin Island, a skill she proudly passed down to her children and grandchildren. She also loved cooking for her family and was famous for her Christmas Seafood Gumbo, an art and tradition that will continue through her children. Winifred loved her family more than anything and they were her reason for life. She will always be remembered for her beauty, wit, selfless charm, and a smile that would light up a room, To know her was to love her. Winifred was preceded in death and loved dearly by her husband, CD Housdan; Father of her children, Ted Mosley; Mother, Dorothy Pendarvis; Father, Clinton Pendarvis; Sisters, Angela Pendarvis Gates and Dorothy Joy Pendarvis; Son, Timothy Earl Mosley; Grandsons, Craig Garrett Wilson and Timothy Earl Mosely Jr.; As well as many close cousins, nieces and nephews. She is survived in death and loved dearly by her Children, Tonya (Rocky) Kimpel, Teddy Mosley, Toni (Ricky) Wharton, and Braxton Mosley; her grandchildren, known to them as their "Wee", Chad (Candance) Wilson, Dana (Shelby) Mosley, Sandi (Chris) Doss, Scarlett (Heath) Sewell, Sara (Zach) Lambert, Ariel (Mark) Smiley, Nolan Mosley and Jordan (Cheyanne Redden) Orso; as well as 16 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore, AL on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The family invites anyone whose lives she touched for visitation from 12:00-2:00pm. A service will be held in the chapel at 2:00pm immediately folowing the visitation - followed by the processional to Oddfellow Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, AL. Active Pallbearers - Grandsons: Chad Wilson, Nolan Mosley, Braxton Mosley, Jordan Orso, Chris Doss, Zack Lambert, Heath Sewell and Mark Smiley. Honorary Pallbearers - Granddaughters: Dana Mosley, Sandi Doss, Sara Lambert, Scarlett Sewell and Ariel Smiley.
