Voncile Crosby Hines

It is with sorrow and love that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Voncile Crosby Hines, who passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024. Born on January 16, 1948, in Blackshear, Georgia, Ms. Hines graced the world with 76 years of warmth, love, and unwavering strength. She passed away peacefully in Mobile, Alabama, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who cherished her dearly. Voncile's life was marked by profound love and commitment as a devoted wife to her late husband, Kenneth Hines, Sr., and as a caring mother to her seven children. Her steadfast support and love were the cornerstones of her family, shaping her children into the compassionate individuals they are today. She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley E. Crosby and Alma F. Crosby, her cherished son Jerry Amerson, and her beloved husband, Kenneth Hines, Sr. Ms. Hines is survived by her brother Earnest “Buddy” Crosby. She is also survived by her loving children and their spouses: Paula Pouliot, Paul Amerson and his wife Carol, Steven Amerson, Jacquelyn Hayes and her husband Daniel, Sharon Ziolkowski and her husband Matthew, and Kenneth "Robbie" Hines, Jr. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Megan Pouliot, Brittany Thorpe and her husband Branden, Tristan Pouliot and his wife Pamela, Michael Platt and his wife Lasey, Natalie Amerson, Shadrick Amerson, Alyssa Friesen and her husband Andrew, Fletcher Rodgers, Connor Rodgers, Arianna Hayes, Anabellah Hayes, and Aydan Hayes. She is also survived by five loving great grandchildren: Evan, Johnny, Moses, Zuri, and Rosie. In honor of her wishes, a celebration of life will be held next summer. Details of the celebration will be announced by the family at a later date. Her life was one of kindness and empathy towards others, and it is the family's hope that her legacy will continue through acts of compassion and generosity. Though Ms. Hines is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her life and love have left an indelible mark on all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, Mama. While you wait for us in heaven, your influence and love will live on eternally.
