Shelia Mosley Moore

Mrs. Sheila Marie Mosley Moore was born in Mobile County on August 9, 1959 to the late Willie Andrew and Ida Bethea Mosley. She was a member of New Birth Ministries in Theodore, Alabama under the leadership of Rev. James C. Gulley where she served faithfully until her health declined. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. On the morning of Wednesday, September 28, 2022, our mother left this earthly realm for her final resting place. She was a strong woman and a fighter until the end. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lorraine Mosley Nelson and LaShanna Mosley; brother, Willie A. "Andy" Mosley, Jr.; father-in-law, Mr. Andy Moore; and two brothers-in-law, Willard and Julius Moore. Sheila was the oldest of six children. Her memories will live on through those who are left behind. Her two daughters, Teresa Moore Dais (Lionell, Jr.) and Terri Moore (Joki Jone) of Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren, Trevon Dais, Yasmine Martin, Aaron Dais, Breanna Dais, and Lionell Dais, III; two sisters, Lenora Mosley and Ida Dickerson, both of Grand Bay, Alabama; brother-in-law, Walter Nelson; sister-in-law, Carla Davis Mosley; three uncles, Joseph (Linda) Bethea of Mobile, Alabama, Wilbert McWilliams of Theodore, Alabama, and Elbert (Rachel) McWilliams of Stone Mountain, Georgia; three aunts, Gwendolyn (James) Sanders of Theodore, Alabama, Connie Carter of Mobile, Alabama, and Mary Scruggs of Illinois; one great-aunt, Bernice McWilliams of Theodore, Alabama; a devoted cousin, Keith (Deborah) Broughton of Theodore, Alabama; a devoted friend, Deborah (Keith) Broughton; three godchildren, Brandon Carr, Ivory Broughton (Kelvin) Claiborne, and Kendra Broughton; an estranged husband, Terry Moore of Grand Bay, Alabama; mother-in-law, Zeatherine Moore of St. Elmo, Alabama; four sisters-in-law, Vanessa Thompson, Cathy (Clyde) Morrissette, Anita (Michael) Burke, all of St. Elmo, Alabama, and Shelly (Jimmie) Mitchell of Theodore, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Gregory Moore; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9-11 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by service at 11 AM Interment will be held in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
