Patricia Ann Tubb

Age 74, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Patricia was born on April 11th 1943 to Herman and Lucille Hobden. They moved to Hollinger's Island when she was 3 years old. Her parent's continued to have more children and that's where they would raise their family. The had 11 children, so Pat had a lot of brothers and sisters to grow up with. Pat was a happy, outgoing child. She attended Hollinger's Island School and Hollinger's Island Baptist Church and went to Theodore High School. Pat married Wayne when she was 18, she and Wayne had 2 boys. Booboo and Goochie. She worked for Sunray Grocery for many years, she and Wayne owned and ran Wayne's Garage on DIP while she still worked at the grocery store. She also worked for Alabama Crankshaft for years with her sister Regina. Pat then worked for B&H Grocery until she was no longer able, due to her illness. Pat's life was all about Wayne and their boys. They all enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and drag racing together. She was there with them for everything they did. She would cook Sunday dinner for her family, kids and grandkids and Ohh boy did she expect everyone to be there. Anyone who entered there house was always welcome to eat, even if you didn't want to, you had better get something! Pat loved sitting in her backyard with her family, friends and her dogs that she loved so much. Sadly one of her dogs died while she was in the hospital, she was never told that Bullet passed. They now will meet again on the other side of those pearly gates. Bullet loved his Nanny! These words don't compare to the Woman, Wife, Mother and Grandmother that she had become. She will be greatly missed and loved by all that ever knew her. She was preceded in death by her dad, Herman B. Hobden, mother, Lucille E. Knight Hobden, brothers, Ralph Hobden and Herman R. Hobden, sisters, Helen F. Hobden and Hazel (Sissy) Hobden. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ira Wayne Tubb Sr., children, Ira W. "Booboo" (Dawn) Tubb Jr. and Richard A. "Goochie" Tubb Sr. and Linda Tubb Clark, brothers, William E. (Nora) Hobden, Charles A. Hobden, Darrell L. Hobden and Harrell L. Hobden, sisters, Joyce Hobden Andress, Regina Hobden (Frank) Eanes and Sharon Hobden (Robert) Shaw, grandchildren, Lillian I. Tubb, Kenneth Thompson, Clinton W. "Bubba" Tubb, Richard A. "Tony" (April) Tubb Jr. and Kriston N. Tubb and Taylor L. Clark, step great grandson, August "A.J." Boyd, great grandchildren, Dillan A. Tubb, Matthew K. Thompson and Zackery T. McGraw, special thanks to Paul Barriers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
