Michael Joseph Albert

Michael Joseph Albert, age 47, of Grand Bay, Alabama, entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2025. Born in New Orleans on September 17, 1978, Michael embraced life with a generous heart and an adventurous spirit. Michael was educated in Catholic schools, beginning at Christ the King Elementary in Terrytown, Louisiana, and later graduating from Edward Douglas White Catholic High School in Thibodaux, Louisiana. While at Edward Douglas White, he was a proud member of the high school football team, where his love for sports, teamwork, and perseverance shone through. In his younger years, Michael stepped into the world of professional wrestling under the name Terry Bryant, where his strength, determination, and charisma won him admiration in and out of the ring. Beyond the spotlight, he carried forward his family’s proud legacy as a third-generation shipbuilder, honoring the craft and hard work of those who came before him. Michael had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, and cooking for those he cherished. His passion for nature was matched only by the warmth he showed to family and friends. A man of faith, Michael was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Grand Bay, where his presence and kindness touched many. Above all, Michael was a loyal son, a devoted father, and a steadfast friend. He treasured every moment spent with his beloved children, Isabella Albert and Preston Albert, who were the light of his life. Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Margaret Mallini Albert and Preston Albert, and his maternal grandparents, Peggy Travis Turk and Eugene C. Turk. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Cheryl Turk Albert and Paul J. Albert; his brothers, Paul J. Albert, Jason P. Albert and Jonathan R. Birmingham; and many extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. Michael’s legacy will live on in the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the countless lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his spirit will remain with all who knew him. Visitation and services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, located at 12450 AL-188, Grand Bay, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, with a luncheon to follow.
