Michael Bubba Garver

Michael “Bubba” Garver passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home in Mobile, AL. He was born January 22, 1981 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was adopted by the Huber family in 1989. Michael battled different cancers on and off for the last 25 years of his life. Though he had to fight so many battles he did it with an infectious smile. Anyone who met Michael loved him right away. He was who he was with no apologies. He was a brilliant individual with many wise words and loved his fur babies and wife very much. He was a one of a kind. Michael was a past master of a Masonic Lodge in Mobile, AL. He had been a member of the lodge for over 12 years. The Freemasons were a big part of Michael’s social life. He always loved being a part of such a strong brotherhood. Michael’s hobbies were fishing, gaming, playing with his fur babies, and chilling out with his wife watching movies. Michael was preceded in death by his fur baby, Roxie and sister, Stacey Garver Nahrgang. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 19 years, Lisa Garver of Mobile, AL; fur babies, Rex, Oscar, Rizzo, and Maxie; parents, David and Cindy Huber of Theodore, AL; grandparent, Henry “Bunny” Huber, Jr. of Theodore, AL.; siblings, Thomas Aaron Huber (Sarah) of Semmes, AL, Andy Huber (Angela) of Mobile, AL, Hendon Huber of Theodore, AL, Lynda Hooker (Homer) of Bristol, TN, Charity Baker (Bacon) of Chase, MI, Sam Garver of Bristol, TN, Todd Garver (Amanda) of Buckhannon, WV, and Jason Brush (Jessica) of Bristol, TN; niece, Alyssa Huber of Irvington, AL; in-laws, David Warren, Sr. (Mamie) of Mobile, AL, David “Dusty” Warren, Jr. of Mobile, AL, April Vazquez (Jason) of Mobile, AL, and Donna Reeves (Ryan) of Mobile, AL; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, fur baby nieces, fur baby nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends. Pallbearers will be Thomas Aaron Huber, Andy Huber, Hendon Huber, David “Dusty” Warren, Jr., Jason Vazquez, and Ryan Reeves. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 1-2 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by service at 2 PM. Interment will be held in Serenity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Michael Garver and/or make donations to your local Animal Rescue Foundation.
