Mary Alice Aguillard

Mary Alice Aguillard, age, 77, was peacefully called to be with the Lord July 11, 2020, after enduring an extensive and courageous fight with lung cancer. She was born in 1942 on November 23 to Frank and Jackie Rudisill. Longtime Mobile resident, Mary Alice attended Toolen high school and married her husband of 50 years, Tommy Aguillard. The couple welcomed two adopted children, Melinda and Nathaniel Aguillard into their family. While raising her two children, she maintained a job at Armbrecht Jackson law firm for many years. Mary Alice truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; cooking, laughing, and spending time with her family. Mary Alice had an uncanny ability to put a smile on others faces. She was loved by so many. She endured many difficult situations and always focused on maintaining a positive mindset. In the year 2018, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and was given 3 months to live, growing her wings after a 2 year and 5 month fight. Throughout her battle, she took advantage of every moment on Earth telling the doctor she needs more time to make it to another grandchild's achievement. She never wanted to miss a moment. She will be remembered for all of her amazing characteristics but most of all her unconditional love for her family and amazing strength. She was and always will be a role model for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and more generations to come. Mary Alice is survived by her husband, Tommy; siblings, Frank (Grace) Rudisill, Thomas (Sherry) Rudisill, and Melinda Redisill; sister-in-laws, Tony (Charles) Jansky and Teecie Alrdridge; children, Nathaniel Thomas (Jennifer) Aguillard and Melinda Aymond (Lance) Ward; grandchildren, Robin (Brandon) Powell, Aaron Thomas Aguillard, James Tanner Aguillard, Matthew Connor Aguillard, Mary Coye Ward, Madeline Claire Ward, and Cooper Mattingly Ward; great-grandchildren, Ava Powell and Audrey Powell; other relatives and many friends. Due to COVID-19, a memorial mass will be held at a later date at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
