Jason Reade Carollo

Jason Reade Carollo passed away unexpectedly October 17, 2024 in Mobile, AL. His passing has left an empty space that will never be filled. But as he often said, “...nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!” If he loved you and thought of you as family, his loyalty knew no bounds. His heavy sarcasm and sharp wit also knew no bounds! He is survived by his wife, Nuntiya (Tiya) Carollo; his son Corgan Carollo; his father Jack Carollo; and his sisters, Kimberley (Sorex) Viraco, and Jennifer (Michael) Mannion. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Carollo, whom he loved and adored. Jason was born January 8, 1973, in St. Joe, Missouri. He was an Air Force brat that later rebelled and joined the Army. He served 6 years before suffering a debilitating injury that led to his (honorable) medical discharge. He met his wife, the love of his life, in Germany in Ms. Coleman's 7th grade English class. He would walk Tiya to school, carrying her books and often singing to her. Though it would take a while for them to figure it out, they finally married each other in 2010 with his family as witnesses. Jason spoke German, French, English and a smattering of other languages. Some might say he knew enough to get him in trouble! Jason travelled most of Europe. He enjoyed his time in Europe and lived in several states before settling in Mobile, AL with Tiya and their two felines, Ezmer & Sinni. Jason was passionate about many things. His wife, Tiya; cooking; music; movies; computers; and Battle Tech; just to name a few. He loved his job at AirBus and enjoyed working with the people there. He was a cat “Papa” and loved animals. He made incredible spaghetti meatballs that were about tennis ball size. He was incredibly versatile and could rock his leathers, jeans or suits. He also did not suffer fools lightly and his razor wit was always ready to comment. He often said, “Eeewww…. people!” but time and again would immediately step in to help a perfect stranger if he saw they needed a hand. Jason was known as “Uncle Jason”, and much beloved to Skylar Sides and Taylor Repsher. Jason was a friend and mentor to his stepson, Matt Repsher. He was a brother to his wife’s best friend, Kalicia Sides or “K” and best guy friend to both Eileen Sablan Rodriguez and Andrea Stamper. He was also a "brother" to his military buddies and often provided words of encouragement to those going through a difficult time. “We are all stories in the end, remembered by the adventures we had, the achievements we made and the people we loved.
