Helen Joyce Richardson

Helen Joyce Richardson, 84, passed away December 2, 2023 in Grand Bay, AL. A visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 10-12 PM with a chapel service to follow at 12 PM. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Richardson was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong willed lady as anyone who knew her will tell you. She was born and raised in Bayou LaBatre, AL. She was a business woman who owned and operated a Income Tax Preparation Service and Accounting Service in Ocean Springs, MS for close to 50 years. She became an IRS Certified Enrolled Agent in 1996 and continued in that role until her retirement in 2016. She used her Enrolled Agent credentials almost daily in her dealings with IRS Agents as well as State Income Tax Agents. She was successful in her endeavors and won most of her cases for her clients and hated to lose which didn’t happen often. Helen enjoyed traveling and she and her husband Joseph visited every state, Canada and Mexico. She was an avid reader and enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others. She always had a smile and a good word for everyone. She will be remembered as a loving person and loved her Lord and is now with Jesus. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Richardson; sons, Marlin Jackson (Sandy) and Gregory L. Jackson (Daphne); daughters, Pamela Theobald (Skipper) and Michelle Ellis (Amanuel); step son, Michael Richardson (Lisa); step daughter, Patricia Richardson; brother, Martin Carey Bosarge II (Edna); sister, Marvis Bosarge; grandchildren Tonya Somerset (Josh), Amanda Givens (Roger), Carissa Richmond (Travis), Christopher Johnson, Carl Theobald (Johanna), C. J. Struble, Brian Struble, Bogie Ellis (Candace), Josh Ellis (Shanna), Darla Dean (Bubba) and Tony Wang; great grandchildren, Makenzie, Kaiya, Rylee, Zander, Jaxon, My Carson, Matt, Hannah, Chrissa, Madeline, Kayden, Lilly and Henry; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday December 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens
