Grace Euverne Smallwood

Grace Euverne Brown Smallwood was the first child of William and Rosa Brown and the oldest of their seven children. She was born on April 10, 1928, in Chokoloskee, Fl and died on October 29, 2024, in Niceville, Fl. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Robert Smallwood Jr., three children, two brothers, two brother-in-laws, and four sister in-laws. Grace and Bob were married in 1946 and remained happily married until his death in 2015. She was a loving mother to their five children: Daniel Craig (Deceased), Carol Lynn (Deceased), Morgan Bruce (Kathleen), Linda Darlene (Deceased), and Maryann (Terrial). She adored her seven grandchildren: Jacinda, Morgan Jr., Amanda (Don), Brandie Grace (Eran), Terrial Jr. (Love), Preston (Brandy), Jonathan Robert (Heather) and fourteen great grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Her sisters Jeanette and Geneva brought joy to her life, and they could often be heard laughing, telling stories, and sharing life events. Her brothers Stanley, Arvid, Lawerence, and Cecil were her constant supporters. There was nothing she liked better than being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, their families, nieces, nephews and church family, she cherished every minute with each of you. She was the bookkeeper for their shrimping business and loved traveling the gulf coast as they followed the shrimp. She LOVED the Lord and taught Sunday School for many years. She and Bob traveled the world on numerous church trips sharing the gospel and God’s love with others. The last few years of her life were spent hearing God’s word, praying for others, playing with Daniel, Victoria, and Micah and enjoying her family. God truly blessed us with this wonderful Christian woman who set the example of how to live a Godly life in the face of unimaginable obstacles but with God's unfathomable grace, goodness, and peace. Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 am from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore, AL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
