Garry Eugene Sprinkle

Garry Eugene Sprinkle passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on March 10, 1943, to Jeptha V. Sprinkle and Floy Otts Sprinkle in Fayette, Alabama. Garry is survived by his best friend of 18 years and wife of 10 years Riette Wooten-Sprinkle, daughter Janet (James) Walton, daughter Kathy Lea (Barry, Jr.) Jim, son Glenn Eugene (Phoebe) Sprinkle, stepson Jonathan (Tracy) Parker, stepson Timothy (Katrina) Wooten and stepdaughter Kimberly (Heidi) Wooten. His many grandchildren are Timothy (Krystie) Walton, Christopher (Amy) Walton, Shawn (Hope) Walton, Brandi Dyess, Ryan (Heather) Dyess, Forrest (Katelynn) Dyess, Huey “Colt” Dyess, Jordan Jim, Garry Lee Jim, Katie (Caleb) Sprinkle-Swanner. His bonus grandchildren are Blakely (Mackenzie) Scarbrough, Brockton Parker, Thomas (Lindsay) Wooten, and Tanner (Mallory) Wooten. Garry had 16 great grandchildren. Garry was a high school graduate and after high school in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While enlisted in the Air Force, Garry served his country as an aircraft mechanic. When he left the Air Force, he carried that trade to be a mechanic and supervisor at the Transportation Garage for the city of Mobile where he worked until retirement. Garry spent his life serving in many Masonic organizations. Garry was a Past Master of Azalea Lodge 898 and member of George U. Potter Lodge No. 912. He served as Past Deputy Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge of Alabama in 2016-2017. Garry was also a 32*KCCH of Mobile Valley Scottish Rite and a Shriner at Abba Shrine. Through the years, he served several times as Past Patron of Mobile Chapter 348 while serving as a dual member of Dave Langham Chapter #536 Order of the Eastern Star. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, November 15, 2024, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Serenity Funeral Home. The service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel. The interment is at 1:00 pm at the Spanish Fort Veterans Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Timothy Walton, Christopher Walton, Shawn Walton, Garry Jim, Caleb Swanner, Thomas Wooten and Tanner Wooten.
