A Tribute to Francis Victor Pham: The Heart and Humor of Our Family With profound sadness and loving memories, we, the Pham family, announce the passing of our beloved Francis, also known as Franny, to all those who loved him on November 16, 2023. Born on June 1st, 1978, and raised in Alabama, he was not only our eldest brother but also our greatest source of laughter and comfort. From a young age, Franny had a natural ability to see humor in everyday life. His jokes and witty comments were not just a source of laughter but he had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and connected. Selfless to the core, Franny always put others before himself, ensuring that those around him were happy and taken care of. His generosity and willingness to help others had no boundaries. That’s just the kind of person he always was. Franny was always there for anyone at any time, a true testament to his character. Whether it was a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear, or just his presence, he is the true example of a best friend. He had a rare gift for making people feel instantly at ease, turning acquaintances into friends, and friends into family. His home was a reflection of his heart: always open and welcoming. No one was a stranger in his presence. Every person he ever met was greeted with his signature smile, "whazzzzuuuuup brotha or sis," and an undeniable warmth, always leaving a lasting impression of kindness, love, and acceptance. As we celebrate his life, we cherish the countless moments of joy he brought into our lives. His humor, laughter, unwavering positivity, and his ability to make everyone feel like family are the treasures we will carry forward. We invite all who knew and loved Franny to join us in honoring his remarkable spirit on November 19th, 2023, at Serenity Funeral Home and November 20th at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Let's share the stories that make us smile, the moments that make us laugh, and the memories that make us feel grateful for the time we spent with him. As we mourn him, we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the countless lives he has touched. Franny is survived by his loving family who will forever cherish his memory: His wife Huyen Thi Bich Nguyen, his beloved children Augustine Pham & Mary Lan Pham, His parents Joseph Dinh Pham & Elizabeth Lan Pham, His sister Mary Regina Pham-Ikeda, His brother Paul Vincent Pham, and His baby sister Elizabeth Mary O’Dell. His departure from this earth forever leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit will live on in each of us every single day. Franny’s final words to all of us to live by: "Treat others as you want to be treated. Do your best to be a part of a great community that is full of empathy, sympathy, and understanding. Never prejudge anyone."
