Daniel Anthony Spencer

Daniel was born on the bayou in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on August 10th, 1975. A true son of the South, he found his joy out on the swamps, surrounded by cypress trees and the life of the bayou. Daniel loved his music loud, his car stereos bumping, and never said no to a cold Dr. Pepper. Above all, he was a family man at heart, deeply devoted to his loved ones. He made his final journey in Axis, Alabama, on September 26th, 2025. He worked as a chemical handler at FMC in Axis, Alabama, and previously dedicated 14 years to Ports America in Port Allen, Louisiana, where he was a proud member of the International Longshoremen’s Association Local 33. His work ethic was matched only by his loyalty to family.He was preceded In death by his father, Henry Spencer; his brother, James Spencer; paternal grandparents Henry Williams and Ella Louise Spencer; maternal grandparents Joel Hill, Barbara Chadwick, and Joseph Markey. Daniel is survived by his wife, Ginnipher Spencer; his children: Devin Spencer, Paige Abshire (Dustin), Stormy Spencer, Harley Spencer (Maddie), Brant Spencer, Ashlyn Spencer, and godson Nathan Romeg. He also leaves behind grandchildren Elijah Abshire and Alayna Spencer, Aleigha Spencer, John Spencer, Kannon Knuckles, Kohlton Knuckles, and Kinley Knuckles and aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins who loved him fiercely.
