Chad Anthony Gorlott

Chad Anthony Gorlott, age 50, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday June 8, 2025 surrounded by his family. Chad was born in Mobile, Alabama to his mother, Rose Diana Newsome (Woody) and father, Richard Earl Gorlott (Patricia) on April 14,1975. Chad attended high school at Theodore High School. He was married to Chasity M. Gorlott (Johnson) for 16 years. He worked at Kern Martin Services for 14 years and worked in logistics at AMNS Steel 6 Years. Chad made work fun (or at least always interesting) and had lasting friendships with many coworkers. Chad loved to have everyone over for Alabama Football games, grilling was his specialty. He was also a member of the Conde Cavilers Mardi Gras Organization for 16 years. His dad and brothers were also members, and it was always a fun family time. He loved to go Camping with family, finding new places to relax and have fun. He also loved to go deep sea fishing, and to the Mobile International Speedway. There was nothing that he couldn't do, he would build things or if it was broke, he would fix it. He was the one that you could call for help and know he would come or know someone that would help. Chad was loved by many, his contagious smile and laugh warmed their hearts. He could always come up with something funny in an instant. Chad is preceded by death by his loving maternal grandparents, Lester L. and Muriel E. (Taylor) Jones and paternal grandmother, Rita M. (Collier) Godwin. Chad is survived by his wife, Chasity M. (Johnson) Gorlott; daughter, Kayla A Gorlott and son, Ashton A Gorlott; mother, Rose Diana (Jones)Newsome (Woody); father, Richard Earl Gorlott (Patricia); one sister Elizabeth A. Gorlott; two brothers, Troy B. Gorlott (Shelly) and Patrick B. Gorlott (BobbiJo); one special friend/brother, Phillip Hall (Laura) and many nieces and nephews that he loved and was so proud of and a precious great niece. Celebration of Life will take place at Serenity Funeral Home’s Event Center Monday, June 16th from 4-8pm with a memorial service and prayer at 6pm.
