Carol Fay Poiroux

Carol Fay Poiroux, 82, of Theodore, AL, went home to our Lord and Savior on October 21st, 2025 surrounded by loving family. Carol was born March 14th, 1943 in Mobile, AL, the daughter of Clinton Dees and Lottie B McQueen Dees. Carol graduated from Mobile County High School where she was an Azalea Trail Maid and Majorette. Carol Fay married Charles Poiroux on November 18th, 1961 at First Baptist Church of Saint Elmo. Carol is proceeded in Death by her parents, Clinton and Lottie B Dees. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Poiroux. Children, Cynthia Filippo (Barry), Sonia Fussell (Dearl), Duane Poiroux (Katrina). Grandchildren, Jonathan Sema (Mallory), Ethan Sema, Lindsay Phillips (Jimbo), Dereck Fussell (Nicki), Lexey Price (Jarrod), Amber Poiroux, Stephanie Poiroux, Dalton Powell. Great Grandchildren, Chloe Sema, Libby Sema, Landon Sema, Abigail Mason, Sophia Mason, Collin Rice, Colton Fussell, Kinsley Fussell, Fisher Fussell, and Bodhi Price. Siblings, Shelby Crabtree (Frank), Josephine Cannon (John), David Dees (Susan) and many other loving relatives and friends. Carol Fay was a loving wife, mother, memaw, and friend. She cared so deeply for everyone she loved. Carol knew how to make you feel loved and welcomed every time you stepped into her home. She was loud, loving, always right, and fun spirited. She loved to make gumbo, her special cakes, and be surrounded by her family every Christmas. You never left her house without a cup of coffee or a little something sweet. She gave the best advice, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear at the time. Carol Fay enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved gardening and the Spring time. She always had a trunk full of flowers and potting soil every Spring. She was always so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and attended every event she could to support them. Carol loved with all she had and will live through the wonderful memories she has given to each of us. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 Carol Fay Poiroux will be laid to rest at Serenity Memorial Gardens 8951 Old Pascagoula Rd., Theodore, AL 36582. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th, 2025 1-2 PM followed by service at 2:00 PM.
