Carlos Lorgio Anez

Carlos Lorgio Anez, born on March 2, 1941, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, left an indelible mark on the world before his passing on February 29, 2024, in Mobile, Alabama. His journey through life was characterized by love, family, and a commitment to community. In 1963, Carlos joined hands in marriage with Mirtha, his lifelong companion, Together, they built a family that became the center of Carlos's world. He was the proud father of three wonderful children. His son Celso Anez, born on April 15, 1964, in Santa Cruz, found love and companionship with Claudia Salomon. They, in turn, brought three beautiful children into the world: Diego, Nicholas, and Bruno. Mark Anez, born on February 3, 1965, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia chose Kimberly Johnson as his life partner. Their union resulted in two cherished children, Logan (Henry) Jordan (Victoria; three wonderful great grandchildren: Nora Grace, Marco, and John.) who brought joy and laughter to the family home. Kimberly Anez Smith, born on April 12, 1972, in Mobile, Alabama, embarked on her own journey and found love with David Smith. Their union blessed the family with two more delightful additions, Isabella, and Mary Grace. In 1967, the Anez family made Mobile, Alabama, their home, where Carlos ventured into several successful business endeavors. His final venture was an automobile dealership, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. In 1998, Carlos decided to retire at the age of 58, returning to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Retirement allowed him to immerse himself in the activities he loved, such as leading his favorite social club and becoming president of the "Club Social" in Santa Cruz Bolivia and participating in various community events. A passionate sports enthusiast, Carlos's love for soccer was evident in his role as the founder of the Super Car Wash Soccer Club in Mobile, Alabama. His dedication to coaching and nurturing local talent led the team to compete for city championships annually. Throughout his life, Carlos Anez touched the lives of countless individuals with his infectious smile, unmatched personality, and genuine kindness. He was a source of inspiration and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to Carlos, let us cherish the memories of a life well-lived, a legacy of love, and a spirit that will forever endure in the hearts of those who loved him. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Celso Anez Gil and Marina Moreno, and his sister, Ledy Pareja. He is survived by his wife, Mirtha Anez; children, Celso (Claudia) Anez, Mark (Kimberly) Anez and Kimberly (David) Smith; grandchildren, Diego Anez, Nicholas Anez, Bruno Anez, Jordan (Victoria) Anez, Logan (Henry) /shook, Isabella Smith and Mary Grace Smith; great grandchildren, Nora Grace Anez, Marco Johnson Anez and John Baden Anez; sister, Luly Purvis; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
