Archibald Stephens II

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Archibald Stephens II on March 13, 2024. Born on June 1, 1931, Archibald lived a full and vibrant life, touching the lives of many with his steadfast, gregarious, and generous personality. Not one to shy away from the tough battles, Archibald was famous for his stubbornness, proving that perseverance and determination can take one far. A lover of Merle Haggert's music, MASH and classic cartoons, Archibald knew how to appreciate the finer details in life. His love for burgers and ginger beer was well-known amongst his close circle. Working in the garden and frequenting local spots like Sam's burgers were some of his favorite pastimes. Archibald was the loving Daddy to Nannette Stephens, Archibald III Stephens, and Aundrea Stephens - his children being some of his greatest accomplishments. He was also a cherished grandfather to Mikilhaila Trollinger, Princess Stephens, Michael Dawson, and Zenzel Stephens. Archibald is survived by his ex-wife Patricia Jackson, his youngest sister Beatrice Stephens, and his nephew Steve Paris. He was predeceased by his father, Archibald Stephens, his mother, Sophia Christian, six older sisters, and 3 older brothers, one being his twin brother that passed away at birth. As we remember Archibald, we honor his legacy of kindness and generosity. He firmly believed in pacifism and imparted the same values in those around him. His persimmon and grape crops were a testament to his enduring spirit, and will continue to thrive in his memory. His favorite color blue seemed to reflect his personality - strong and enduring. Archibald taught us to stick to our roots, just like his love for gardening, and to spread kindness, as abundant as his favorite food, burgers. A funeral service in Archibald’s memory will be held on April 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home. In memory of Archibald, we encourage you to emulate his gregarious personality, cherish the simple pleasures of life, and continue his legacy of kindness and generosity. Farewell, dear Archibald. You will be dearly missed, but your legacy will continue to thrive in those who loved you.
