Ara Bernice Havard March 31,1935 July 19, 2018 The most beautiful,smartest,talented, loving, caring,giving,nurturing, strongest,forgiving,best friend ever, our sweet mama passed away in her daughter's arms into the arms of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved and adored her four children; and was very proud of them. she had suffered with Alzheimer's for a while now .But now our sweet mama has a new body,she is free from all pain, forgetfulness, & sadness .She always told me she wish she could fly & sing like a bird .One of her favorite songs she loved singing with her children and grandchildren is "You Are My Sunshine'. Two days before her passing her daughter sang that song to her all day long as she laid there semi-conscious. The next morning her sweet roommate told Kay she hummed that song all night long . Ms. Havard loved to sew anything from making her little girls clothes, her granddaughters & great granddaughters, which she would see a dress in town & go home and make it without a pattern at all, curtains & bedspreads to match their rooms. she also loved to quilt & made one with her children's & grandchildren's pictures on it .she loved to do pen & ink drawing,paint beautiful oil painting on canvas. She also loved her flowers inside & outside . she loved to square dance in her younger years . she belong to several local square dance clubs .she also loved to ballroom dance .She loved helping with meals on wheels at Creekwood Church of Christ when she younger. She was preceded in death by her son David Hester ,her parents Wade and Mary Odell Thompson , brothers Rufus, Jimmy & Bill Thompson. Her sisters Thelma Clark & Alene Dansby. her grandson Jason Ory, her great grandson Joshua Ory. She is survived by her son Gary Hester , daughter Kay Sullins, & daughter Vicki & Steve Ory .Her 11 grandchildren john & vince Ory, Robbie & Chad Taylor, Gary Jr. ,Jared, Chase, Zack, & Haleigh Hester, Jessica & Robert Allen, Jennifer & Ricardo Scott. 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter. Siblings;Agnes Bailey , Jeanette Jackson, Anna Easterling , Claude Thompson , & Linda Loveless. She also cherished the friendship of 72 years Dorothy Crowley Griggs. We would like to thank everyone at Crowne Health Nursing Home of Mobile for the giving our mama not just care but ,tender loving care. The staff of the 3rd unit took special care of our mama . Thank you Comfort Care Hospice you too were very helpful & thoughtful . Thank you Creekwood Church of Christ pastor David Sargent for all your love and support . There will be a memorial at a later date .
