April Dawn Casilio, 68, of Theodore, Alabama passed away Friday February 14, 2025 as was fitting since she was dearly loved. She was born on January 9, 1957 in Oswego, New York. April is preceded in death by her loving parents Robert and Marlene Snow, of Fulton, New York. To know April, was to witness a life lived with purpose, passion, an unshakable belief in the goodness of God. April didn’t meet strangers-only friends she hadn’t hugged yet! She wrapped people in her arms with her whole heart, making them feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her relationship with Jesus was the driving force of her life. Her faith was her guiding light, even in her final days, she clung to it with the same unwavering strength that carried her through life’s trials and triumphs. April’s passion for life was evident in everything she did. She loved fiercely, worked tirelessly and never backed down from a challenge. Her love for nature and all things outdoors -especially horses- was a life- long affair. Whether she was clearing land, working outdoors, or simply soaking in the beauty of God’s creation, she seemed most at home under open skies. Her family often joked that she was born in the wrong time era, as her heart longed for the simplicity and grit of days gone by. Above all, April would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family. She poured her heart and soul into loving, guiding, and sometimes even harassing them, but always reminding them that faith and family were life’s greatest treasures. Her grandchildren, without question, were the absolute light of her life. She lived for them and cherished every moment spent in their company, often saying that being their grandmother was her upmost honor. While our hearts ache in her absence, we have peace knowing she is now wrapped in the loving arms of her Abba, and that her legacy of love, faith and devotion lives on in her husband Bruce Casilio, her children Bruce Robert (Wendy) Casilio, Amy (Chris) Robertson, her grandchildren Noah Robertson, Caleb (Maria) Casilio, Gabriel Robertson, Joshua Casilio, Isaiah Robertson, Zion Noelle Casilio, Hope Robertson, and countless family and friends. Nana your faith will remain steadfast with us always. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at the Celebration Center on the Serenity Funeral Home grounds, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd., Theodore, AL 36582.
