Shirley Ann Sanders

Shirley Ann Culver Sanders, born on July 20, 1935 in Autauga County, went to meet her Lord and Savior on April 13, 2022 at the age of 86. Shirley was a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, where she and her husband once owned and operated the Harley Davidson shop. She was also a member of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church in Theodore, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sanders; parents, John Lewis & Winnie Culver; brother and sister-in-law, Garry & Bobbie Culver; niece and her spouse, Sherry and Steve Jessop; nephew, Steve Culver; and other beloved family members. Shirley is survived by her son, Randy Sanders; granddaughter, Amy Sanders Sanchez (Felix); sister-in-law, Barbara Athey; nephew, Larry Culver (Jane); spouse of Steve, her late nephew, Edith Culver; great-nephew, Zack Jessop (Morgan); loving great-niece, Emily Jessop; great-grandchildren; great-nephews and their spouses and children. She is also survived by her special great-great-nephew, Steven James Jessop, whom she loved dearly and whom brought her immense joy. Visitation will be held on April 16, 2022 from 12-2 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by funeral at 2 PM. Interment will be held in Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Magnolia Springs Baptist Church or a church/charity of their choosing in her memory.
