    Milton Lewis Lassiter

    July 8, 1935 - February 26, 2022

    Milton L. Lassiter, age 86, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of faithful service. After the military, he worked as a mechanic and from there went to work with Mobile Paint, from where he retired. He faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Irvington, where he also served as a deacon. He was also a past Grand Master of Howard Lodge #69 F&AM. He had various hobbies, some of which included mechanical work on automobiles and small engine repair. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sue Lassiter. He is survived by his children, Steve Lassiter, Randy Lassiter (Gerald Russell), and Peggy Stanfill; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10 AM-12 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by the service in the Chapel at 12 PM.
