Mara was a member of Saraland Baptist Church, a retired Medical Office Assistant, and a loyal volunteer with Widowed Persons Services of Greater Mobile. She loved crocheting and she donated personalized afghans especially for WPS Fund Raisers and making them for family and newborn babies. Mara was a “traditions keeper” and loved large family gatherings for holiday celebrations, birthdays, or get-togethers with lots of singing and live music performed by many talented family members and close friends. She was a simply wonderful country cook and avid reader with an infectious laugh. If you got a pan of biscuits with a candle for your birthday, you knew you were special. You were always welcome to sit on the porch for Luzianne and laughter coffee times. When you received one of her hugs, you never doubted her undying love. To her, family meant everything. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10 AM-12 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by service at 12 PM. Interment will be held in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
