Kay Denise Griffin

December 30, 1951 - March 5, 2022

Kay Denise Byrd Griffin, age 70, born December 30, 1951 and of Mobile, AL passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Denise Griffin was a source of joy and love for her family, friends, and those she came in contact with. As a faithful follower of Christ, she was a constant ambassador for Him in every arena of her life. Her heart for those who hurt and concern for those with needs knew no limits or boundaries. The stories of her kindness could fill a book, but the effects of that kindness will be reflected in lives now and in eternity. She was a gifted entrepreneur, cook, reformer, and remarkably versatile in her careers. Her work life included service to the City of Mobile as well as business ownership. She will be utterly missed by all who knew her and remembered with the warmest of emotions. Denise is survived by her son, Tad Griffin (Kimberly); daughter, Candace Noland (Kevin); grandsons, Payton Griffin, Devlin Griffin, Porter Griffin, Griffin Noland; granddaughter, Ava Noland; brother, Mike Loncono; sister-in-law, Linda Moore; other relatives, and friends. We will celebrate Denise's life with a graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10 AM. Upon entering the Mobile Memorial Gardens main entrance, family and friends will meet in the lot to the right at 9:45 AM and there will be a procession over to the site for the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mobile Chapter of Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries in Denise's honor.
