James Myron Bizjak Sr.
July 10, 1936 - January 25, 2022
James Myron Bizjak, Sr., a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL for 85 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He worked in the produce industry in Mobile for over 50 years. Jim married the woman of his dreams, Margie, on July 1, 1959. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as a branch President. Jim and Margie, as a couple, served as missionaries in the employment department of the church and helped many unemployed people obtain jobs. He also proudly served his country as a United States Marine serving as Sergeant E-4 for 4 years with an honorable discharge on November 17, 1961. He graduated from the University of Alabama and loved Alabama Football, Hunting, fishing, TAA Ballpark, cooking and grilling, and eating huge meals with family and friends. Above all he loved his wife, children, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his much loved and adored wife, Alma Margaret Bizjak; father, James Henry Bizjak; mother, Eunice Pearl Austin Bizjak; brother, Joseph Elvin Bizjak; and great-grandson, Ryland Parker Tice. Mr. Bizjak is survived by three children, Vivian Rhnea Bizjak, Polly Eleanor Jackson (Richard), and James “Jimmy” Myron Bizjak, Jr. (Alesia); grandchildren, Donna Lynn Harper (Jeff), James Hueston Jackson, Margaret Nicole Bazzel (Jonathan), Jamie Rhnea Jackson, James Blake Mabry (Annette), Thomas Justin Self (Ashley), Brittany Nicole Self, and Whitney Lynn Bizjak (Matt); great-grandchildren, Grace Lynn Harper, Abigail Lee Harper, Jillian Joelle Bazzel, Jamison Cole Jackson, Adalyin Bryce Lyman, Gabriel Finn Mabry, John Welles Self, Thomas Wilder Self, Afton Raine Tice, and Teagan Rowe Tice; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road Mobile, AL 36619, on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5-7 PM. Funeral will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10 AM The services will be live streamed and available through serenityfuneralhome.com. There will be a reception immediately following the graveside service, held at the home of Rhnea Bizjak - 5061 Leesway Circle, Pensacola, FL 32504.
