She was a very loving daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother of many generations. She was always cooking a good meal in her kitchen. She welcomed in and fed any and everyone she knew. She always had a smile to light up the room and a story to tell. She was a warm, fun-loving soul, who always cared for others with selfless action. A poem was written out for Gracie: "I tried to lie down but could not sleep, the emptiness it runs so deep picked up the phone to give you a call remembered quickly no one would be there at all. God called you first, before I really said my goodbyes, Couldn't see your face or look in your eyes. I miss you more than you could know, But you're better off and you're not alone. All the people God called before you, were waiting at the gates to greet you. My weeping is surely only for me. I know you're happy that God set you free. I know you want me to go on with my life, But your memory I'll carry for the rest of my life. I know one day I will see you again. Cause God says that's part of his master plan. When I feel sorrow and my tears start to fall, I'll remember it's not really goodbye after all. I'll see you again in Heaven; we'll meet. Where we will laugh and sing and pain can not defeat. I know for you the pain is all gone and with knowing that; We can all carry on. Author, Danny Nicholas Jr. Gracie was a loving, warm, and compassionate soul.
