Ethelyn Dale Farmer

April 2, 1945 - April 24, 2022

Ethelyn "Dale" Dalton Farmer, age 77, has passed on April 24, 2022, of natural causes. Dale was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Farmer; and parents, Luther and Charlene Dalton. Dale is survived by her only child, Shannon (Ned); granddaughter, Susannah; brother, Sonny Dalton, Jr. (Diana); niece, Lori Gaston and fiancé, Tharon; great-niece, Kristina Weaver (Ryan); other relatives, and friends. Dale, daughter of Luther David Dalton Sr. and Edna Charlene Stoner Dalton was born in Virginia Beach, VA as a Navy baby. They all moved to Prattville, AL in her Senior year of high school, and she graduated from Prattville High School. Dale spent the majority of her life residing in Prattville, though she moved to Mobile, AL after the death of her husband, Marvin. Many knew Dale as a master seamstress or helpful clerk at a former downtown Prattville fabric and craft store called Snip and Sew, while others remember her as a smiling face at the former downtown Prattville pharmacy Rexall Drugs. Some, more recently, remember her as a Pharmacy Technician at the now closed Foster Drugs in the Prattville Square shopping center. Regardless of how you encountered Dale, she was always there to help. She will also be remembered as an avid Alabama Football fan. A small memorial service will be held at a later date at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Mobile, AL to remaining family members and closet of friends.
