Billie Ruth Dendy Tillman, age 94, passed away February 5, 2022 in Mobile, AL. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Serenity Funeral Home with a chapel service at 2 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Magnolia Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Tillman was born February 8, 1927 to Ida Evergreen Miller Dendy and Thomas Atkins Dendy. She was one of 8 children. Mrs. Tillman was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her cooking and loving nature. You did not ever leave her house hungry or as a stranger. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lenward “Monkey” Tillman; daughter, Shirley Tillman; son, David Tillman; and son-in-law, Tim Holladay. She is survived by her sons, Larry Tillman (Angie) and Kenny Tillman (Brenda); daughter, Joan Holladay; daughter-in-law, Deborah Tillman; grandchildren, Tracy Bouler (Jesse Wilkins), Danielle Prater (Trey), Larry Tillman, Brian Sanders (Hillary), Kristin Barrow (Glen), Chris Tillman (Courtney), and Ashley Czernek; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; other relatives, and friends.
