Bennie L. Peyregne

June 18, 1939 - April 29, 2022

Bennie L. Peyregne, born in Bayou la Batre, AL on June 18, 1939, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:30 pm at a local facility with family by his side. He resided in Redwood City, CA, Ashford, AZ, Little Valley, UT, and for the past 50+ years till his last days, where he resided in Mobile, AL at the age 82. Bennie, also known as Ben, was a very hard worker throughout his life. He worked as a shrimper, a tire man, a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, diesel mechanic, ambulance driver, and retired as a bus driver. He was an usher for Convent Church and a member of Praise family. He was so much to so many. He loved God and his family very much. Bennie was preceded in death by his father, Jeff C. Peyregne; mother, Rosie Hastings Peyregne; 2 brothers, Jeff Peyregne Jr. and Billy Peyregne; and 4 sisters, Daisy Bell Peyregne, Geneva Cagle, Myrtle Deakle, and Camelia Marlor. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Doughty Peyregne; 3 sons, Bruce Peyregne, Jeff Peyregne, and Andrew Peyregne (Amanda); grandchildren, Amanda, Diana, Christopher, Hayden, Caylee, Keeleigh, Archer, Castiel, and Jasper Peyregne; 2 sisters, Betty Riggan and Charlotte Gillespie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A visitation for Bennie will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, Alabama 36582, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. After the service there will be food and fellowship located at Praise Family Church.
