Anna White Stringer

March 29, 1935 - February 23, 2022

Anna White Stringer, age 86, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Anna was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on March 29, 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde C. Ward. Anna and her late husband, Albert White, moved to Mobile in 1963 and raised their three children. Anna was a lifetime member of Moffett Road Baptist Church and worked at the University of Mobile for many years. Anna was a very active volunteer and past PTA president of Forest Hill Elementary School when her children were little. Anna loved gardening and was a member of several garden clubs over the years. Anna was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community. Anna is survived by her son, John White (Rinnie); daughters, Joanna Bowen (Terry) and Jennifer Clifton; five grandchildren, Matthew White (Emily), Mark White (Becca), Sydney Slattery (Justin); Breanna Clifton, and Savannah Clifton; two great-grandchildren, Piper White and Wade White; other relatives, and friends. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Vara Ward; brother, William “Bill” Ward; her first husband and father of her children, Albert White (1953-1999); and second husband, William Stringer (2005-2018); and by one grandchild, Robert Clifton, III (Kelly). A graveside service will be held Monday, February 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Mobile, AL 36619.
