Instead of below ground burial, some people prefer to be entombed above ground. With this in mind, our founder, Don Parmer, set out to have a mausoleum built. It was a project he had been working on at the time of his death. Upon his death, his sister, Glenda, continued with the project and saw it through to its completion. In March 1992, ground was broken, and on October 25, 1992, the Chapel of the Chimes was officially opened and dedicated to the memory of Don Parmer.

At the present time, the mausoleum holds 420 crypts and 100 niches and is an all Georgia Marble structure. Depending on the individual's choice, one may be entombed on the outside of the mausoleum or inside the chapel.

The chimes are programmed to play at the beginning of every hour from dawn until dusk. When there is a service in the mausoleum or cemetery, the chimes can be played continuously if the family requests it.
