Serenity Memorial Gardens and Land Lawn Haven opened
in December 1966 and is located off Old Pascagoula Road in Theodore,
AL. We have twelve gardens along with our mausoleum and Veteran's
Wall of Honor.
The Serenity Group is proud to be a perpetual care
cemetery. The cemetery authority shall at all times maintain the
cemetery in good condition by grading, landscaping, maintaining
adequate shrubbery, and trimming said shrubbery. The cemetery authority
will also be responsible for planting and cutting grass, removing
debris, and maintaining the features so the cemetery is uniform
and beautiful at all times. No other person, firm, or corporation
shall have the right to do any landscaping, cutting, or planting
of any kind.
The Serenity Group shall also maintain all roads and paths in good
condition.
In order to be interred at Serenity Memorial Gardens, we require
the following:
-
A certificate of ownership must be presented at the time of need.
-
Twenty-four hour notice must be
given to the cemetery prior to any interrment.
-
An outer burial container (a vault or grave liner) must be used. This may be purchased by us or an outside company as long as it conforms to our policy.
-
Only human remains may be interred.
All memorial markers shall be uniform throughout the cemetery and shall be of the size, depth, and proportion determined by the cemetery authority. We require bronze on granite markers. Only individual or companion markers are permitted and only one marker shall be allowed to each grave. Headstones and footstones standing on end above the surface of the ground are prohibited. All markers shall be placed by the cemetery authority and under the cemetery authority's supervision. All markers must be at the level of the ground and the cemetery authority must approve all markers.
Veteran bronze markers are accepted providing a base is purchased and care funds are paid to the cemetery as other markers and said charges must be paid before the markers are ordered and installed. Once the marker has been ordered, it usually takes between ten to twelve weeks to arrive.
We encourage all visitors to our cemetery. When you come out, we ask you to please follow these guidelines:
